Kent is placed in the south east of the uk, which makes it one of the home counties. kent is bordered by East Sussex, Surrey, London and Essex. in addition to these, Kent boasts a border with France, which is inside the channel tunnel. Maidstone is the county town of kent and Canterbury is the the county's only city.
Kent is well known for its orchards and hop gardens, so it's often called the garden of england.

Kent is a huge county, so it has plenty of wonderful museums & art galleries to explore. one of the best museums in kent is the RNLI Museum in Chatham, which is situated in a beautiful old building that originated in 1848. The museum has a lifeboat gallery with seventeen historic boats & the museum also tells visitors more information about the rnlis great work.
Another wonderful museum is the Canterbury Museum & art gallery. This wonderful place is housed in a Victorian structure & has a exciting collection of artwork & other artifacts.
In addition to wonderful museums & galleries, Kent also has some beautiful green spaces. in fact, Kent boasts Port Lympne & Howletts, which are animal parks that let you experience beautiful countryside, whereas seeing some gorgeous animals.
The shopping in kent is fantastic & should not be missed. although the bigger towns have loads of high street stores & designer shops, the kooky independent stores are even better.
In actual fact, the county has many farmers markets, which are a fantastic place to pick up Kentish apple juice, handmade bread & other tasty produce.
The nightlife in kent is brilliant, as it has got something for everyone to enjoy.
You'll find some wonderful clubs and exclusive bars in Canterbury - kent's only city. however, the city also boasts some wonderful pubs, which are extremely old and boast a vast range of lovely beers.
Canterbury also boasts some fantastic restaurants, which serve some extremely delicious food and drink. Some of the finest include Zizzi's, Augustines and Marlowes.
