Surrey is a county placed in the south east of england, which helps make up the Home Counties. Surrey outskirts Greater London, Kent, East Sussex, West Sussex, Hampshire, and Berkshire.
Surrey county council is placed at kingston-upon-thames, even though the town has been considered part of Greater London since 1965. because of the county's proximity to London, Surrey has several commuter towns and villages, which has made it one of the most wealthy areas in great britain.

As we have probably already informed you, Surrey is the most wooded county in britain. This is represented by Surrey County Council's logo, which depicts a pair of interlinking oak leaves.
The diverse landscape of the county includes very old woodlands, acid heaths & stunning grasslands. in fact, the Surrey Hills, which expand across 1/4 of the county, are so stunning that they have been designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. This zone was established in 1958 and covers from Farnham to Oxted, & it extends further south to the wooded Greensand Hills near Haslemere.
If you're looking for a fantastic family day trip, you could go to the open day at Busbridge Lakes for a sensational picnic. alternatively, you could take in the gorgeous scenery located around the striking Chatley Heath Semaphore Tower or even at Outwood, which is home to the the oldest working windmill in england. The highly adventurous visitor may also consider taking a boat ride along the Wey Navigation or even going on a cycle ride along the Downs Link Path.
In addition to these outdoor activities, you will also be happy to know that the Surrey towns of Leatherhead, Chertsey and Farnham boast a few fantastic museums, comprising of the Ash Museum. For art fans, there is also the Forge & Dragon galleries or the Watts Picture Galleries, both of which display some wonderful work. alternatively, you could visit the superb Hogs Back Brewery at Tongham, which has over 500 varieties of beer for you to sample.
If you are planning to shop til you drop in Surrey, you will find that Guildford has everything you need and more. As well as many specialist outlets, you will also find famous brands such as House of Fraser, Debenhams, Boots, m & s and w.h. smith here. In addition to this, the town also boasts a well known market on Fridays and Saturdays.
For a more traditional shopping experience, look up Farnham. This stunning town remains really old-fashioned with some wonderful specialist outlets which are located just below Farnham Castle.
